Job Summary:Mortgage Loan Advisor
In charge of promoting and selling Truist Mortgage Loan products while adhering to bank policies, with a focus on increasing sales. Supports referrals to supplementary bank services and insurance products, delivering high-caliber client guidance and assistance.
Important duties and functions
- Establish and execute strong mortgage marketing initiatives and business growth plans to achieve or surpass production goals.
- Stay well-informed about the mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines prescribed by Truist.
- Follow Truist policies and procedures rigorously, integrating compliance with both state and federal regulations.
- Delivering valuable mortgage guidance after thoroughly understanding the client's needs and highlighting the benefits of Truist Mortgage products.
- Maintain the ongoing practice of facilitating connections between mortgage clients and additional banking services following Truist's referral process.
- Assist with verifying the documentation follow-up for mortgage loans pertaining to clients, attorneys, or property appraisers as necessary during quality checks or post-closing validation.
Qualifications
- Prior experience of at least one year in banking or lending is essential, along with a basic familiarity with residential property classifications.
- Proficient in organization, with a strong command of written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrates solid interpersonal skills and effective negotiation acumen.
- Proficient handling of pertinent digital applications.
- Within a 30-day window, individuals must ensure they fulfill the requirements of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act, which include obtaining NMLS registration and undergoing a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Suitable qualifications for this role encompass a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related subject, or an equivalent background in financial sales.
- With a history of more than two years in residential mortgage lending, possessing a deep understanding of the local market landscape and regulatory requirements.
- Documented accomplishments in sales performance and prior experience in leadership capacities.
