School Speech Pathologist Assistant - Mobile, Alabama

An immediate opportunity is available for three Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-5 students within a full-time, contract role based in Mobile, AL. This position requires working onsite at multiple schools, including elementary and middle school settings, providing valuable speech-language assistance to students in a school environment.

Location: Mobile, Alabama

Assignment Duration: ASAP through May 22, 2026

Hours: Full-time, approximately 35 hours per week

Work Setting: On-site only in K-12 public schools

Caseload: K-5 students across several schools with itinerant responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver speech-language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with school staff and therapists to monitor student progress and adapt strategies.
• Maintain documentation and comply with school and state regulatory requirements.
• Travel between assigned schools, including Holloway Elementary, Chastang-Fournier (K-8), and Scarborough Middle.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the Speech Pathology Board of Examiners.
• Familiarity with school-based speech therapy practices and K-5 age group caseloads.
• Ability to manage itinerant assignments effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of Alabama Department of Education licensure policies; direct-hire SLPA licensure is not applicable for this contract role.
