Supporting speech and language needs within a K-12 educational environment, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Mobile, Alabama. The position involves working directly with students in elementary and middle school settings, delivering essential speech and language support to a K-5 caseload.

- Schools include Holloway Elementary, Chastang-Fournier K-8, and Scarborough Middle (itinerant role)
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology assistance to students in grades K-5
- Implement individualized therapy plans under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to regulatory guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies
Qualifications
- Registered Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credential with the Board of Speech Examiners
- Familiarity with the Alabama Department of Educations licensure requirements for SLPAs
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work itinerantly between multiple schools as needed
Schedule and Duration
- Full-time: 35 hours per week
- Contract position for the current school year (ASAP start through May 22, 2026)
- On-site presence required at assigned schools
