Position Key Responsibilities
- Receive customer orders and enter all details accurately into the TMS.
- Update orders promptly when changes or cancellations occur.
- Monitor container availability and status with ports, terminals, and rail ramps.
- Communicate any delays or issues to customers immediately.
- Plan and schedule container pickups to avoid demurrage charges.
- Schedule delivery appointments and provide drivers with accurate instructions (BOL, PO, delivery notes).
- Provide customers with timely updates throughout the delivery process.
- Confirm return locations and cutoff times with steamship lines.
- Coordinate empty returns to avoid per diem charges.
- Build trust through accuracy, transparency, and proactive service.
- Work closely with dispatch, warehouse, billing, and operations teams.
- Assist with local driver scheduling and routing.
- Communicate with drivers to resolve on-site issues in real time.
- Support inbound and outbound scheduling with warehouse teams (Near Future)
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure accurate documentation (Near Future)
- Ensure all data is entered correctly for billing and compliance purposes (Near Future)
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or drayage preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with TMS, CRM, or related systems is a plus.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or business preferred
