We are seeking an experienced Regional Safety Manager to support our Southeast operations. This remote position requires routine travel to job sites and business units throughout the region, working closely with field and operations teams to strengthen compliance, mentor supervisors, and build a proactive safety culture.

The Opportunity

The Regional Safety Manager will lead and administer Nations Roof’s safety, risk, and compliance programs across multiple commercial construction and roofing projects. This position combines field leadership, program management, and employee training to ensure consistent implementation of company and OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Oversight & Field Leadership

  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards.
  • Observe, coach, and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors, reinforcing a culture of accountability.
  • Intervene immediately in unsafe activities and verify completion of corrective actions.
  • Lead and mentor Safety Supervisors in inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain and analyze safety records, incident logs, and performance metrics to identify trends and corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with project and regional managers to advise on minimizing safety risks and improving compliance.

Training & Development

  • Prepare and conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for all levels of personnel.
  • Deliver OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction safety classes, as well as specialized training for field operations.
  • Maintain training logs and certifications for construction-based safety courses such as fall protection, CPR, hazard communication, PPE, ladder safety, scaffold awareness, aerial lift, forklift, slips/trips/falls, and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Mentor field leaders in implementing behavior-based safety and risk reduction strategies.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Implement and manage safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA, company, and client requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, analyze data, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Recommend and implement risk management and business continuity measures including insurance, safety, and recovery planning.
  • Review and update safety and risk management protocols to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare and present risk and performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Maintain professional relationships with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to promote uniform safety practices.

Program Management & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, audits, and training records.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project tracking tools related to risk and safety performance.
  • Assist in companywide safety meetings, compliance audits, and strategic safety initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the National Safety Director or Chief Risk Officer.

Field & Travel Requirements

  • Travel regularly throughout the Southeast region.
  • Conduct on-site audits, safety meetings, and field engagement sessions.
  • Must be capable of safely accessing roofing and elevated construction environments.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of progressive safety management experience in commercial construction, roofing or similar industry.
  • OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry) or OSHA 500 (Trainer Course) required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required; CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Orlando, FL or surrounding metro areas.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $80,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience).
