JURISDICTION YEARLY RATE MOBILE COUNTY $48,091 - $76,882* CITY OF MOBILE $40,528 - $64,790 CITY OF PRICHARD $25,344 - $39,312 CITY OF CHICKASAW $27,276 - $42,312 MOBILE AREA WATER & SEWER SYST $44,658 - $71,394 MOBILE HOUSING AUTHORITY $45,775 - $73,178 PRICHARD WATER WORKS & SEWER BOARD $43,569 - $69,652 *Amended 10/11/2025 Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program in electrical work and a minimum of one year journeyman level electrical experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Journeyman Electrician certificate from the Board of Electrical Examiners; Mobile Area Water and Sewer System requires a Master Electrician certificate.

Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. May be required to possess a commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, if applicable.
