County Parks/Wildlife Manager

This is administrative work directing the operations of Mobile County parks and the wildlife refuge. This position involves supervising park employees, managing budgets, and implementing policies to ensure efficient use of resources. The successful candidate will have a strong background in park management, horticulture, or a related field, as well as experience in supervisory or administrative roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage park employees, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance
• Develop and implement budgets for park operations, maintenance, and capital projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify community needs and develop programs to meet those needs
• Analyze data and make informed decisions about park operations and resource allocation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in park management, horticulture, landscape architecture, forestry conservation, or a related field
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in park management, including supervisory or administrative experience
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence
