POSITION OVERVIEW
We are excited to invite a talented and empathetic Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist to join our flourishing team of imaging experts committed to delivering unparalleled patient care. Utilizing advanced ultrasound technology, you will conduct diagnostic procedures, collaborate with a supportive group of medical professionals, and provide essential peace of mind to patients through your precise and timely imaging.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, ensuring clear and compassionate communication at each step
- Work closely with radiologists and referral physicians to guarantee the acquisition of high-quality diagnostic images
- Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and ensure up-to-date patient records within the electronic medical system
- Stay engaged with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and practices
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and proper patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capable of functioning independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
