Responsibilities

• Pay close attention to road safety protocols when navigating tractor-trailers.
• Be diligent in examining the vehicle before and after trips to affirm its compliance with road safety requirements.
• Establish effective delivery strategies to maximize efficiency and ensure punctual deliveries.
• Follow the stipulated rules for handling and packaging to ensure the safe and secure transportation of goods.
• Maintain ongoing communication with dispatchers and clients to facilitate a seamless delivery experience.
• Record hours worked and scheduled vehicle maintenance accurately.
• Observe the safety protocols delineated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to safeguard employees and merchandise in transit.
• Swiftly communicate any vehicle issues, events, or breaches to maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• A legitimate Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Clean driving record.
• Meeting the DOT's protocols for physical examinations and drug tests.
• Efficient handling of time and coordination of tasks.
• Knowledgeable in the competent and careful transport of substantial and cumbersome loads.
• Capable of delivering exceptional customer service and forging enduring relationships with clients.
• Priority on safety protocols and regulatory adherence, particularly in the timely reporting of incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Participants
• A structured 12-week training curriculum has been introduced for commercial drivers starting at the entry level to promote accelerated learning. Participants with experience levels ranging from 3 months to over 5 years are accommodated in the course

Preferred Experience

• Skilled in operating a range of trailer models, such as dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• In-depth involvement in managing double or triple cargoes, intermodal shipping solutions, and vehicle transportation services.
• Expertise in managing domestic items and unique shipments.
