Responsibilities

• Engage in the safe and efficient operation of large trucks on highways and local roadways.
• Conduct thorough examinations of the vehicle both prior to departure and upon arrival to maintain road readiness.
• Establish and implement efficient delivery routes to ensure timely shipments.
• Be mindful of how you handle, protect, and transfer goods to avoid causing damage.
• Keeping communication channels active with dispatchers and clientele is crucial during trips.
• Record working hours correctly and carry out scheduled checks for vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure strict adherence to the safety standards outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Ensure prompt reporting of any vehicle-related issues, events, or non-compliance instances for adherence purposes.

Qualifications

• Holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• No major violations on the driver's clean record.
• Ensuring adherence to DOT regulations for health assessments and drug checks.
• Excelling in time management and organization is a key competency in various aspects of life.
• Proficiency in securely maneuvering bulky or heavy shipments.
• Outstanding capacity for customer service excellence and clear, concise communication skills.
• Strong focus on ensuring safety measures are followed and regulations are met.

Experience Levels Accepted

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants who graduate from our 12-week structured training program (available for individuals with 3 months to 5 years of experience)

Preferred Experience

• Employing a variety of trailers that encompass dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker options.
• Expertise in the use of multiple units and combined vehicle operations.
• Knowledge in dealing with household commodities and specialized deliveries.
