Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Working knowledge of oncology services

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLS

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC)

One of the following

• Current Alabama RN license
• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
• Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

Desired Qualifications

BSN/MS degree in Nursing

ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population

Evaluates, plans, implements, and coordinates comprehensive care for oncology patients to ensure quality and continuity of care. Performs physician assistance, information gathering, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.
