Freight Stocker

The Freight Stocker plays a vital role in ensuring merchandise is well-organized, consistently stocked, and easily accessible for customers, helping to deliver a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. This position supports store operations by maintaining accurate inventory, replenishing shelves, and arranging displays safely and efficiently.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Freight Stocker, you will manage inventory, maintain orderly displays, and assist customers to foster a safe and welcoming store environment.

• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise following established store procedures.
• Organize products in the backroom and sales floor to maintain smooth inventory flow.
• Rotate stock and ensure all items are properly labeled with accurate pricing.
• Keep aisles, shelves, and storage areas clean and safe at all times.
• Assist customers in locating products while delivering courteous and helpful service.
• Operate stock-handling equipment safely, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained and certified).
• Report damaged or missing merchandise to a supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies during daily activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Basic customer service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail stocking or warehouse operations.
• Forklift certification is advantageous.

Work Environment

• Physically active role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
• Work performed on the sales floor and in backroom storage areas.
• May involve exposure to outdoor conditions when stocking exterior merchandise.
