Responsibilities of Cash Handling Clerk

• Offer a friendly and respectful hello to every patron.
• Cultivate relationships with customers, question them about their tasks, recommend our merchandise, and excite customers about their purchase decisions.
• Surpass customer expectations with superior service that demonstrates a commitment to excellence.
• Show how the company's safety processes are understood and followed.
• Behave and execute duties in a way that upholds the key beliefs of the company.
• Carry out customer transactions by operating the point of sale system at the checkout area.
• Adhere to the guidelines in place for processing customer refunds and exchanges.
• Begin and end cash drawers.
• Comply with the approved guidelines for handling cash, checks, and credit card payments.
• Respond to telephone calls in accordance with the company's specified procedures.
• Arrange and label merchandise for display purposes.
• Skill in developing labels and displays for pricing products effectively.

Requirements of Cash Handling Clerk

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older
• Proficiency in elementary math skills
• Customer service experience
• Considering the option of traveling to other stores for support.

Working Conditions of Cash Handling Clerk

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements of Cash Handling Clerk:

• The ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force intermittently, and/or 10-25 pounds of force regularly, and/or consistently more than minimal force up to 10 pounds is required for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving items.
• The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
