Process Control Engineer (Honeywell Experion DCS)

The Process Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Honeywell Experion Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in a chemical or manufacturing plant environment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of process units by leveraging advanced control strategies and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration & Programming
• Develop, configure, and maintain Honeywell Experion DCS applications, including control logic, graphics, alarms, and historian data.
• Implement advanced process control strategies to optimize plant performance.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform routine maintenance of DCS hardware and software components.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with I/O modules, controllers, and communication networks.
• Provide day-to-day support for plant operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Installation & Upgrades
• Lead installation, commissioning, and migration projects for Honeywell Experion PKS systems.
• Support virtualization projects and system upgrades
• Process Optimization
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Apply control strategies to reduce variability, improve yields, and enhance safety.
• Customer & Team Interaction
• Act as the primary technical contact for Honeywell Experion DCS-related issues.
• Train plant personnel on system use and troubleshooting.
• Document changes, configurations, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process control engineering, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, or refining industries
• Hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion PKS DCS (required).
• Familiarity with Honeywell TPS/TDC3000 systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
