Role and Responsibilities

The Assistant Culinary Manager manages the restaurant's functions while on duty, working alongside the team to uphold service excellence and drive operational and financial success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Adhere to brand standards related to service, food quality, and safety regulations.
  • Foster a supportive environment, promptly resolve team concerns, and treat staff with respect and recognition.
  • Improve sales and labor oversight through effective tracking methods.
  • Maintain the brand's reputation by meeting cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards.
  • Develop and implement shift management plans within budget constraints.
  • Identify and nurture team members' skills for future roles with empathy and fairness.
  • Use financial expertise to optimize business decisions and enforce cash management procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Manage staff scheduling, inventory control, and administrative tasks.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop plans to drive long-term sales expansion.
  • Motivate and train team members to meet safety and quality standards, prioritizing workplace safety.
  • Contribute to business success by performing essential tasks effectively.

Mandatory Skillset and Previous Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or prior restaurant management experience required.
  • Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Experience managing fast-food operations.
  • Understanding of food and beverage KPIs, product knowledge, and administrative processes.
  • Advanced skills in food preparation, production, and delivery, including food safety standards.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and involving appropriate parties.
  • Eagerness to learn all aspects of restaurant operations and manage multiple areas.
  • Positive attitude with genuine desire to serve and empower others.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Accountable and committed to addressing and correcting mistakes quickly.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual.
  • Reliable transportation for work and business commitments.
  • Availability for variable shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, crouch, bend, reach, and work in varying temperatures with common workplace hazards.

  • Proficiency in Spanish oral communication.
