POSITION – SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER PE – LAND/SITE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Design and Engineering team within the North America Places group. We are looking to grow our team of skilled multi-disciplinary engineers and engineering consultants throughout North America. This is a key location-based position.

Arcadis is pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer (PE) – Land/Site Development Projects at our Houston, Texas office.

We are seeking a highly qualified professional with a proven ability to manage and lead a team dedicated to expanding our civil commercial development portfolio within Texas. The successful candidate will hold a Professional Engineer license and possess extensive experience overseeing large-scale, complex civil development projects, including hospitals, airports, residential communities, retail centers, and educational campuses.

Role accountabilities

• Develop and grow the civil engineering practice based in the Houston, Texas Region, working with current and hopefully new clients as a result of effective business development activities
• Develop and manage a Team that can build positive relationships and connections to facilitate new project opportunities for Arcadis while delivering outstanding projects to our clients
• Smart and effective project management and oversight to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations for quality while ensuring projects also meet or exceed Arcadis’s commercial objectives
• Engage and work directly with clients, design staff, and regulatory agencies to obtain permits and project approvals

Qualifications & Experience

• Well-experienced Civil Engineer PE who has over 12 years of experience delivering civil site development projects and managing complex budgets in the Houston Area
• Licensed (PE) Civil Engineer
• Experience in building strong relationships with clients and the professional knowledge to undertake business development activities to grow this business practice
• Experience in creating a positive work environment that allows others to do their best work
• Strong communication skills – written and oral
• Commitment to health and safety

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $136,086 - $165,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
