Job Title: Panini Petes (Squid Ink Location) Line/Prep Cook

Line/prep cooks will inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to guarantee safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Line/prep cooks ensure that food is seasoned and cooked according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Line/prep cooks turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.

Wage Rate: A minimum of $14.00/hr. to $16.00/hr., depending on experience.

Work Schedule: Must have open availability. Lunch shift is 8:00 am to 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm. Dinner shift: 3:00 pm-close (this could be 9:30 pm or after 10:00 pm) Monday-Friday. Full-time/part-time hours: 20-40 hours per week.

Job Duties: Line/prep cooks assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations. They prepare food, including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks. Line/prep cooks will plate prepared foods based on the senior chefs guidance or recipe cards. Line/prep cooks will ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

Job Requirements: Must have a stable background working as a cook/prep cook or expo in a restaurant. A full-service or fast-food experience is acceptable. Must have a minimum of 1 years experience. Must be 16 years of age or older. Must possess a positive attitude and be a team player. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Reference checks for previous employment may be requested.
