Architect
Insight Global
The Architect (Designer) role is a key team member to the multidisciplinary design team. The successful person in this role will be able to manage their time effectively and balance the demands of the client and dead lines. The team member will be responsible for the following:
Performing and overseeing production of architectural construction drawings and specifications for industrial projects.
Developing building layouts, code-compliant egress paths, and life-safety plans suited to industrial occupancies.
Participating in design coordination, quality reviews, and client workshops
Assisting Project Manager in applying accepted design and manufacturing fundamentals to meet design objectives.
Assisting with permitting support and construction administration, including submittal reviews and field observations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to evaluate and design building envelopes including roof assemblies, flashing, waterproofing, condensation control, and insulation configuration to ensure long-term thermal performance and code compliance.
Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and manage competing priorities in a multi-office, fast-paced engineering environment.
Determine fire rating requirements for partitions, floors, and roofs and specifying UL approved fire rated assemblies.
Architectural or Architectural Technology degree from an accredited 4-year program
Licensed Architect (preferred)
A minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial and/or commercial design
Working knowledge of IBC, NFPA, and energy code requirements applicable to industrial buildings.
Familiarity with building envelope design, life-safety egress, and code analysis for S, F, H, and B occupancy types.
LEED Planning (LEED Certification preferred); tracking, documenting, and coordinating credits and prerequisites; maintaining LEED scorecard and checklists
Preparation of architectural renderings using Revit, Sketch-Up, Lumion, or similar.
Proficient using COMCheck software to show energy code compliance for a building's envelope.
