Here at Coastal Neurological Institute, our team of Neurologists and Neurosurgeons carefully consider the best solutions when it comes to patients’ neurological needs and we are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our Neurology and Neurosurgery Team. As the clinic float Medical Assistant , you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of CNI's team.

CNI MA Duties

• Answering phones and referring inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
• Utilize medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Work closely with physicians in outpatient clinical setting
• Conduct vital sign measurements and record patient information accurately.
• Support outpatient services by scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Communicate test results with patients in line with HIPPA guidelines
• Manage and return all patient calls same day
• Verify all records received, confirmed appointments, and reason for visits prior to clinic day
• Complete patient paperwork in a timely manner
• Knowledge and compliance of all OSHA and HIPPA policies
• Ability to travel to other CNI office locations as needed: Spanish Fort and Fairhope, AL
• Other duties as assigned

CNI MA Experience

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Certification in Medical Assistance preferred.
• Familiarity with Neurological procedures are a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A proven history of excellent telephone communication skills
• Professional communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Detailed-oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
