Mental Health Worker - Baldwin County
Addus Healthcare- Provides assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, personal grooming, personal hygiene, meal preparation, assisting clients in and out of bed, assisting with ambulation, toileting and/or activities to maintain continence.
- Provide and assist with home support that is essential to the health and welfare of the client, such as cleaning, laundry, and home safety. Home safety includes a general awareness of the home's surrounding to ensure that the client is residing in a safe environment.
- Assist clients with light meals and snacks, including but noy limited to meal preparation, feeding, water and liquids and with the cleaning afterwards.
- Provides for clean, safe environment for the client and family: i.e, minor housekeeping, changing and washing soiled linens, etc.
- Reminds clients to take medication.
- Observes patient for general physical, mental, and emotional conditions and reports any significant patient changes and observations to Clinical Director (RN) and or Supervisor
- MHW workers must provide valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for transportation of clients.
- Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development and maintains camaraderie with fellow employees by demonstrating willingness to assist others when needed.
- Must provide agency with proof of maintenance of certification on annual basis. Also provide agency annual proof of health clearance, CPR, OSHA training, car liability insurance and in-service attended other than those with Addus Home Care.
- Compliance with all Addus Home Care policies and procedures.
- MHW must attend 12 hours or more of continuing education specific to mental health topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Other duties as assigned, as needed
- Follow all Addus Home Care policies and procedures
- Attend all mandatory training sessions
